A pretty good start The idea / principle behind this app is great and especially suited for small business that don't need a lot of customization in Salesforce. While Intuit seems to have had a rocky start with it (we've been on this since it's release), they appear to have worked out most of the major kinks at this point. Customer support was excellent and they worked closely to fix the big problems we were having. The benefits are pretty obvious - Salesforce is great for centralizing your customer interaction data as well as measuring marketing campaign performance. Having the sales data sync to Quickbooks keeps my inventory up to date and makes reporting in QB a lot easier. There are some cons, mostly centered around the inability to sync custom fields and some minor usability problems. Like anything, evaluate it for your specific needs and then make a decision. Can't sync the Sales Rep to Saleforce? I have been waiting for this app to come out for a long time. I signed up (not an easy process) for the app and synced some sample data. My "rep" field would not sync. I called Intuit and they told me it's a non-syncable field. I have multiple sales people and @ 6000 customers so keeping the rep attached to the customer record is very important. This app is useless to me until I can sync the rep field. Please fix!QB and SF are the two leaders in the industry and they can't get it right? March 12, 2012
Don't see the point? Hard to use, only sync's main account NOT "jobs" information, costs to much.. wondering why millions of sales professionals use this? February 26, 2012
Quickbooks and Salesforce work great and beautifully as SEPARATELY applications. There are still alot of things that aren't working quite right with this release of salesforce/quickbooks "combo". - The initial setup of data sample from salesforce is EXTREMELY slow, to the point that a user would think the computer froze. - The sync is extremely slow. - The video demos don't work. - The Sync, Salesforce and Users tab don't respond instanteously. - Signing up for a free trial of "Salesforce for Quickbooks" is very very clumsy. It will be nice to see a seamless integration between the two systems but I currently don't see that. Seems this should still be a Beta version but I'm interested to see future versions/releases. If everything works great, that will be fantastic. December 7, 2011
