Support is Substandard
Of the 5 Clients I have given access to a SmartVault portal file, 3 have had problems with uploading. The only error message is Failed. I searched on this message on the website and the answer was to delete the cookies. That didn't work, so I called the support line. Support line offered to set up a case. Well, gee, I can do that online. So I did. That was Tuesday. Today is Thursday and no answer.
There is no way this level of service is compatible with Lacerte, a program I have stuck with in large part because their support by phone and email is exceptional.
Unfortunately since Lacerte will not be supporting DMS, and this system is what they have chosen to partner with I feel stuck.

SmartVault Gives Me and My Personal Documents Peace of Mind
SmartVault is the cloud storage dream -- well designed, smart, secure, and wonderful support when you need. The integrations with QBD, QBO, and other key financial apps we use are seamless. My most confidential and sensitive documents live in SmartVault and will continue to for many years to come.

We use SmartVault as a way to attach receipts to Bills and Checks in QuickBooks and it's easy to navigate between vaults and assign access to specific information.

Super easy to use!
This app has done wonders for our company. It is a secure network where we can save and store everything pertaining to accounting and finance. I have control over who sees certain documents and folders, which is nice. I've also used it for our outside clients to review invoices and receipts monthly. I would recommend this app to anyone.

Great for bookkeepers!
I use SmartVault not only to store all important information that clients send me, as well as integration with Quickbooks. I *love* that I can attach docs to my clients through QB and it's a great feature for bookkeepers. :)

Well designed, easy to use!
I just recently went to QB online but I still wanted to attach documents to customers. Smartvault is enabling me to do that. On my desktop and on my I-phone. I think I had it loaded and working in 30 min or less. It enables me to be more paperless and view documents when I am on the go.

I have been looking for the right fit for Document management.
Need a desktop drive, with cloud/mobile access and great client portal, security, all for the right price. SmartVault so far is making it happen and now I can link those same documents to Intuit QBO.
I could ask for more......and I think SmartVault listens to their user base. Thank you!

What types of entries in QuickBooks / QuickBooks Online can I attach documents to?
Documents can be attached to over 30 different types of entries in QuickBooks and over 20 in QuickBooks Online. Some of the most common entry types you can attach documents to are: vendors, bills, purchase orders, item receipts, customers, invoices and check registers. Can I access my documents outside of QuickBooks?
Yes. Documents attached to QuickBooks / QuickBooks Online entries are stored in SmartVault. These documents can be accessed from a Web browser or internet-enabled mobile device.
Can I store all my documents in SmartVault, or is it just for attached documents in QuickBooks / QuickBooks Online?
Yes, you can store ALL of your documents in SmartVault, not just those you attach to entries in QuickBooks. With SmartVault, you get a secure online document storage and file sharing system built specifically for business users with features like version history, a recycle bin, audit / compliance reports and the ability to set email alerts when files are uploaded or accessed.
How secure is SmartVault?
SmartVault is engineered from the ground up to protect your valuable digital assets. All interactions with SmartVault occur over an encrypted channel. We employ AES-256 SSL to protect your documents, passwords and interactions with SmartVault from eavesdropping. SmartVault stores redundant, encrypted backups of your documents and metadata offsite.
