Saves Time!
We added Smartvault for attachments with QB Online and it has made our paperwork flow much better. It offers easy drag and drop option and is always on your screen, which makes it very convenient. It works well with integrating with QB Online as well. User friendly and priced to sell.

Really like this app to cover the shortfall of quickbooks online
Wehn you need to attach receipts to bank transactions and paper bills to online bills, this app is invaluable. They pick up the slack that quickbooks left.

This is exactly what I was looking for!
My goal has been to have the paperless office. When I set my business up 6 months ago I looked for an app like this but could not find one for QuickBooks On-line. I love this product and would have given it an excellent overall rating except that I have only been using it for a few weeks. Being able to attach a copy of the invoice or other supporting documentation for each payment eliminates the need for paper files and moving between QuickBooks and the file drawer. The cost efficiency created by this app dwarfs the monthly fee.

Customer Value-Added.
Prior to discovering SmartVault for QuickBooks Online, I have had several customers inquire about the ability to "attach a document" to a QB transaction. The ability to simply drag a source document and attach it to the related entry, is a true selling point for QB support. My clients like to ability to actually "see" the related papers, as opposed to finding the paperwork on file. SmartVault is a must have tool.

Great solution for archiving source docs on QBO
I spent the better part of a day looking at solutions for attaching source docs to Quickbooks Online transactions and all the others either didn't work or were to complicated and tried to do too much. Smartvault does exactly what I wanted, nothing more nothing less. It has an extension that works with your browser so you can use it when you're in QBO and it was very easy to learn. It was a bit buggy at first when it came to saving and renaming documents but it started working better and customer service was very helpful.

I’m Stacy Kildal, Advanced Certified ProAdvisor and QBO Expert. SmartVault user for about 4-5 years. SmartVault for QBO allow users to securely store and attach documents to QBO records.
I had a little troube connecting my QBO data to my SV account, but I think that was because I was already a user. Support got back to me almost immediately after my inquiry and explained how to connect in a simple and concises set of directions via email. Once I followed the instructions, I was up and running. I love that it doesn’t take you out of QBO and that it doesn’t take up too much real estate on the screen. Having used it this week, I think it would be nice if when I “hid” the toolbar, it stayed hidden when I went to other pages in QBO, but really - that’s not that big of a deal to click it again.
Any company can use SV for QBO - as long as there is a need (and who doesn’t have it, really?) for quick access to source documents. You could attach signed customer contracts, liability certificates or W9s for vendors, statements to accounts. Anything that requires a user’s quick access. I can see how easy this will make tax returns as well - with the accountant user being able to see the attached documents, they’ll have access to all the source documents they may need to make adjustments and prepare returns.
The $9 price covers one person - which means that while they can give user access from the SmartVault portal, if that person also has access to the QBO company that the SmartVault account is connected to, they won’t be able to see the files attached while logged into QBO. I spoke with SmartVault CEO, Eric Pulaski and he said adding users is very simple: “You click on the account in the smartvault portal (the blue ball in the tree), then click the link to the right that says Upgrade my Account, then pick how many users you want and save changes.”
