WOW! Really adds value to the products I sell!!! This is a great software to add value. We particularly like the tracking system where our customers can check their order. We also love the fact that we can attach documents that are important for our customers. And it really increases accountability for us. The folks at Effi Stat actually called us over the weekend and helped me setup our business... Thanks folks... February 5, 2012
Great Potential PROS: No credit needed for trial that supports up to 25 users Easy to understand video Tutorials CONS: Doesn't support Mac browsers Might be difficult for users unfamiliar with complex databases REVIEWER INFO: I'm Stacy Kildal, Advanced Certifed QuickBooks ProAdvisor and author of the QuickBooks Online courses atwww.IntuitAcademy.com. I've been using QuickBooks online since 2004 and currently support a variety of QuickBooks Online Clients. Effi Stat is a brand new app to create and track work orders and shop staff schedules that integrates with with QuickBooks Online. REVIEW: At first glance, this app looks quite promising. Unfortunately, I was unable to run in on my Mac - not in Safari or Chrome. This poses quite a problem, since many QBO users are Mac users. I tried clicking around to setup first, since I'm not a big fan of reading directions unless I can't figure it out myself. Unfortunately, on my Mac I was unable to figure out how to setup. I had to go to the videos, where I learned that while I was in fact choosing the correct menu - Setup > Setup Process or Product/Service Setup - the screen was remaining blank. (I could however, see blank forms from other menus like Work Order Processing or Operations Management). After emailing the Effi Stat staff for clarification on supported browsers, I reluctantly logged into my office computer - an old desktop running Windows XP - to wait for an answer and see if I could get it setup via Chrome or, as a last resort, Internet Explorer. Before I even had a chance to login to the Intuit App Center on the office computer, the good folks at Effi Stat called me. Fabulous response! I was told that Mac browsers are not supported, but Chrome, Firefox and IE all are on a Windows system. The video tutorials state that what the product does is take existing invoices in QBO and allow you to create work orders and create and manage employee schedules, and even let your customers check the status of their projects with a secure login. While I couldn't test the entire program because I was unable to go through the setup process (using IE7), I was able to view closed invoices ("Archived Work Orders") that it pulled in from my QBO account and was able to manipulate those a bit. However, when I tried to access some other areas of the program, I was kicked out back to the App Center. The great bright spot here is that the people at Effi Stat assured me they were troubleshooting and would get back with me as soon as possible, and did indicate that if there was a demand for it, they would seriously look into supporting Mac Browsers.
