So Disappointed with this System
I have been sent invitation emails from my employer, I have been sent links to view my paystub from my employer, I tried to sign in to see my paystub and was given a prompt that said:
"You successfully signed in to ViewMyPaycheck, but we didn’t find any Workplace Applications for this login.
You may have used an Intuit Account that’s different than the one your Administrator used to invite you to ViewMyPaycheck. Ask your Administrator to verify that the email address for your User ID matches the email address used to invite you to ViewMyPaycheck. If it doesn’t match, ask your administrator to remove your ViewMyPaycheck access and then use the correct email address to re-invite you."
My admin verified my email address was correct. I have grown very frustrated trying to view my paystub on this site that is anything but intuitive. All the avenues I have been given in FAQ's and troubleshooting assumes that there is a problem on my or my employer's end and make finding a resolution to my situation harder to find than a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. I just want to view my paystub and would like to get a simple answer that resolves the problems associated specifically with my account.
So far, I'm very disappointed with the experience and from what I see in the reviews this is a recurring problem. This is very counterproductive to the service Intuit offers employers because hours are lost to productivity while employees try to use a payroll tool that is less than effective and poorly designed from a UX perspective.

Why can I only retrieve my 2011 W-2? 0/10, would not recommend to a friend.

Also Mixed Feelings
I too just started this in January. About 1/2 of my employees had no trouble getting signed up. The other half have been biting my head off because they cannot see their paycheck stubs and I don't know why they cant. This Intuit has NO phone number for employees to call to get help. One of my employees I tried helping on the office computer...the log in just kept going in circles. Enter passoword, so we entered and it goes back to beginning. They NEED a phone number for employees to call and get help. Very frustrating.

Mixed fellings~
Hi~ I'm a payroll administrator of our business and we 'just' started using this app -Jan 2013- as a 'paperless' means of moving forward...and coming from the business side...this app works just fine. HOWEVER...from an EMPLOYEE's point of view...it will all depend!
As an employee I have Turbo Tax and the app was linked to this login. So when I logged in...I had no problem.
BUT...out of the 18 employees that have used or 'tried' to set up this app...it has been total hit & miss! 1/3 were able to log right in...and 1/3 can't...the other 1/3 are holding out because they aren't that computer savey to go through the pain an agony of 'what-if' they can't log in!
As an administrator...I've been trying to trouble shoot each and every employee and figure out why they can't log in. So far...no good.
We've tried their Turbo Tax account...nope...no business app attached. I've used the only email that we have in our system and resent the email...and nope...didn't work.
So I sympathize with many of these people that can't get their loggin to connect/work.
The jury is still out on this 'paperless' move...my verdict is that we will just have to trudge forward and 'pray' the 'sticky points' will be resolved.

quick, free and basic
Quick, Free and Basic...... If there were one important area to improve on it would be to reactivate the BETA feature that enabled employees and employer to download W2's and relevant documents.
Somewhere between beta and the main stream release of this app the ability was cut off and now only displays a how-to page.
The next great feature could be to offer vendors that receive 1099's to view their data online and in real-time while integrating insurance reminders with more robust features than the QB Premier edition offers.

This app stinks. Bottom line, it stinks. Can not retrieve W2's for 2012 the only option presented is for 2011. It stinks, just plain stinks, don't recommend it, didnt want to have to use it, it is a sham

Easy, excellent app
This app has made my job much easier. We run a camp and during the summer we have over 150 employees from all over the country. They have a tendency to save the checks until they get home and often lose them. Employees are more likely to use direct deposit when they can view their paychecks online. It is secure and easy for employees to use. Employees can also view their W-2s for the current and past years.
To use, you must initially send each employee an "invitation" through the app, which you can do all at once or one at a time. The employee will then setup his/her account using the employee's email as the login and any password he/she chooses. Each time the employee gets a paycheck, whether direct deposit or paper check, the employee will get an email notification. This feature is integrated with QuickBooks and easy to use.
I wish the app would send an email notification for the W-2's or at least had a manual feature available within the app. That would make this app almost perfect.

Simple and easy app.
Not sure why the negative comments are here. We have been using this for over a year now and everything works fine. Easy to set up (with Quickbooks), employees only have access to their information (paycheck, time off etc) and it's available instantly when payroll is done. Maybe the posts with negative comments just do not know how to use or set it up.
Very satisfied!
